tKs photography has been my dream for quite a long time. it all started in 1994 when i purchased my first camera - a little $110 samsung point-and-shoot. i instantly fell in love with photos and everything associated with them. i took photos of my friends, my family, my boyfriend, and my hometown. i even started scrapbooking so i could proudly display my photos.

years passed and cameras were upgraded but i never lost the love of photography. my camera never left my side and even though photography was a passion of mine, i never realized it could become a profession.

in 2006, however, my passion started becoming contagious because i started getting requests from friends, family members and strangers to take their photos. it was during that time i started tKs photography.

for a year i owned and operated tKs photography while working full-time but in the winter of 2007 i gave birth to my son and realized this is what i was born to do: be a mommy and a full-time photographer.

both have brought me so much joy. by having my own photography company i am able to stay-at-home with my son and love on him all day.

tKs photography has also introduced me to so many wonderful people. people who have welcomed me into their homes and it has allowed me to capture a piece of their life, whether it is a photograph of them at the alter or a photo of their first child. either way, i love to have the opportunity to create a keepsake for them to cherish forever.

after all, if a photograph is worth a thousand words then a photograph of someone you love is speechless.
